An engaging speaker Erin has presented over 450 educational talks and workshop sessions to all ages throughout Australia and internationally. She provided her expertise as a consultant for the award winning TV show War On Waste and as a sustainability correspondent on ABC Radio.
A passion for people power and advocacy led Erin to co-found the successful grassroots campaign Plastic Bag Free Victoria in 2015, helping organise the largest petition submitted to the Victorian parliament in over a decade leading to state wide ban on plastic bags in 2019 and pushing for further single-use plastic bans. She developed the idea and was founder of Zero Waste Victoria community education group and co-founder of the first Zero Waste Festival in Australia that continues to run today.
Erin continues to lend her skills to help organise and assist successful environmental groups and campaigns with meaningful impact. She helped bring the Party Kit Network to Australia and volunteers as Operations Manager for BYOContainers.org. She’s been a member of her local City Council Portfolio Advisory Committee for the Environment. In 2020 Erin became Queen Victoria Market’s first Sustainability Ambassador and has spent the last decade working with brands in spokesperson and brand partner roles.
